Agape Love Inclusive School

In 2023, we were busy building the Agape Love Inclusive School’s special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) department. In 2024, the school officially registered as a specialist school. Over the past two years, the school has grown steadily. The school now has 11 students with SEND enrolled and attending regularly, and we are exploring more ways to expand and grow.
At Agape Love Inclusive School, we recognise that every child is special and talented in their own unique way. We believe that ALL students can learn to spread their wings and soar when treated with kindness, respect, and acceptance.
The school offers a well-rounded timetable that includes both academic subjects, such as maths and writing, and therapeutic activities focused on developing independence in daily living skills like dressing and feeding.
UPDATES
Here, we share some of the highlights from the school term. Each child is flourishing in a school where they are truly seen and valued.
OUR LESSONS | |
Our students engage in a range of lessons at school, including maths, writing skills, story time, music, art, and vocational skills. In maths, Blessing, Jessica, Esther, Pearl, and Christabel are now mastering counting, writing, and identifying numbers 1 - 50. Using bottle tops, counters, and pebbles, the students have started learning addition and subtraction, too. | ![]() |
ESTHER BECOMES CLASS PREFECT
![]() | Esther is one of the older students at Agape Love. She is kind, caring and committed to her studies. This term, Esther was made class prefect, and she thrives in her new role! Esther is the perfect role model to her peers, who all look up to her. She has a wonderful way of supporting the other students to engage with lessons and offers a kind shoulder when they are upset. This has had such a positive impact on Esther’s self-esteem. She has now even expressed an interest in being a teacher in her future. |
SELF-CARE | |
At Agape Love, we meet the students where they are. This often involves meeting with families to learn about the child’s skills and activities at home and then setting individualised goals together. We offer tailored support to help students develop independence in activities of daily living. This term, Afriyie mastered self-feeding. He now sits proudly at the table with his peers at lunch, eating and enjoying! | ![]() |
PHYSIOTHERAPY | |
Family First’s wonderful physiotherapist visits the students at Agape Love weekly. Physiotherapy sessions help students build strength, coordination, and movement. With fun, engaging exercises and lots of encouragement, our learners are continuously developing in confidence and making incredible strides 💫 Here is Noble, so happy as he takes his first wobbly steps. What a champ!
INSIDE A LESSON | |
TEACHER WORKSHOP | |
![]() | We kicked off the term with a vibrant teacher workshop, focused on developing creative teaching and learning resources for both our mainstream and SEN students. Hands-on learning brings lessons to life, encouraging curiosity, independence, and confidence. Teachers explored fun and practical ways to make learning meaningful. These creative activities not only make lessons engaging but also help students strengthen fine motor skills, problem-solving, and teamwork. |
COMMUNITY AWARENESS | |
This year, we hosted a large community awareness programme at Agape Love Inclusive School. Students, staff, families, and members of the community joined together to celebrate abilities, share stories, and learn how we can all create a more inclusive community for everyone.
